Joe Teed
A 20 year veteran of federal and private sector IT, Joe began working supporting the help desks of University of Maryland and its Robert H. Smith School of Business. He was exposed to a variety of technologies and systems including mainframes, NT 3.5, NetWare, and even NeXT workstations. From there he entered a career as a technical trainer in NT 4.0, Windows 2000, NetWare, and Cisco. He is one of the first 2000 people to earn their MCSE in Windows 2000. At this time, Joe also began managing some early Active Directory and Exchange migrations.
Joe then moved on to manage operations at a federal client and later to join a larger team at an aerospace contractor. At the latter, he supported specialized requirements for ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and point-to-point links between the infrastructure of a number of international partners.
Joe has managed a virtualization team and provided design, deployment, and ongoing support for a federal client's desktop virtualization system that is deployed across the US. This system had unique security requirements that required a specialized design from both a client and networking perspective.
Most recently, Joe has worked with several federal agencies to help deduplicate and cleanse data and migrate files into document management systems.
